MUMBAI: Realty developer Lodha Group has strengthened its leadership team of Industrial and Logistics business with two new appointments. The group has appointed Ramit Chopra as National Head - Business Development & Leasing (Industrial and Logistics Parks) and Veeresh Rao as Technical Head (Industrial and Logistics Parks).
The group’s current focus will be on the development of Palava Industrial and Logistics Park (PILP), the company said in a release.
Chopra with over 18 years of strong experience in real estate with over 10 years of exposure in logistics and warehousing developments across India, specialises in lease transactions, deal negotiations, and investment strategies.
His key responsibility at the group will include leading the industrial and logistics vertical growth across cities. Additionally, he will be instrumental in strengthening Lodha Group's land acquisition capability and building a national & global network.
Prior to this assignment, Chopra has held various leadership roles across the country in firms like Indospace and Embassy Industrial Parks.

Veeresh Rao with expertise of urban planning, design & engineering, contracts and project management, will spearhead the complete master plan of PILP, current development of over 300 acres, and be in charge of the overall land, infrastructure capacity, and planning.
In his past assignments, Rao, who is a civil engineer, was responsible for corporate and business development strategies and prior to associating with Lodha served as Vice President – Projects for Allcargo Logistics NSE -0.82 % parks.
Lodha has already entered into a joint venture with ESR India to develop an industrial park spear over 89 acres in Palava city.
Palava Industrial and Logistics Park is a part of Palava City which is spread across over 5,000 acres in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
