Continued Learning - What the Lodha Genius Programme does differently

The Lodha Genius Programme is designed to be a launchpad for academically-gifted students towards personal, professional, and social success. But, what does 'gifted' really mean in the context of a young student? We try to imagine it in a three-pronged structure: above-average abilities, creativity, and task commitment. Students who possess the combination of these three traits exhibit gifted behavior. To achieve their full potential, these students require challenges above and beyond those offered in the regular classroom.

Of these three structures, task commitment is an aspect that the Lodha Genius Programme tries to influence and increase with its Continued Learning. While the Campus Experience at Ashoka University is limited to a few weeks, the extended Continued Learning modules afterwards ensure that students are connected and committed to their coursework and ambitions when they go back home and resume their normal lives.

The Lodha Genius Programme's Continued Learning journey is a standout initiative designed to provide a seamless and holistic follow-up to its Campus Experience programme. It emphasises three key components that collectively nurture and empower participants: Learning and Development, where individuals refine their skills and expand their knowledge through specialised training; Mentorship, which connects participants with experienced professionals for guidance and growth; and Access to Opportunities, ensuring they are exposed to internships, projects, and networks that accelerate their career trajectory.

Learning and Development

Our students engage in both self-paced and live courses, enhancing their knowledge and skills in a structured yet flexible environment-fostering academic excellence and innovation through interdisciplinary courses in STEM and beyond. By connecting virtually with their batchmates during group study sessions, they are able to encourage peer-learning and community-building as well.

Some of the courses offered in Continued Learning include-Education, Literacy, and Justice; Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking; Chip Design for High Schoolers; and Computational Biology at the Neuron Membrane.

Mentorship

The Lodha Genius Programme also provides personalised guidance and 360-degree support in helping our students navigate their academic paths and professional aspirations. Through our mentorship pillars of Academic Support, Career Pathways, Professional Skill Development, and Guided Support, we're able to provide complete support to our students even when the Campus Experience has ended.

Mentors include specialised field experts and teaching assistants that are able to use their real-world expertise and practical knowledge to guide students through check-in calls and need-based conversations.
