Healthy home for healthier tomorrow

Ever so often we are forced to stop and think about the lives we lead. This usually leads to a major shift in our choices, lifestyles, and a resultant change for us and those around us. While the focus and impetus on health and healing was only gaining momentum, the pandemic has forced us all to push full throttle in reassessing our lives and choices better.

While many are looking for avenues to make active lifestyles and holistic living a part of who they are, others are looking to make it a part of how they live. This is why the demand forsuburban spaces is on the increase, the need for openness and fresh air is emerging more strongly, and convenience and safety are critical talking points when considering living arrangements. Residences are now private offices, school desks, and even fitness centres. This is why homeowners are so much more discerning in what they choose and why. Being able to experience space, calm, and a lack of clutter despite the constraints is an unspoken need.

Let's take a look at what some of the most important considerations in finding a complete home are.

- Space: The need for openness and space has never been underscored as it has now. It helps to declutter your mind and offers a more open outlook towards life. The ability to look upon well-planned structures and townships, the luxury of looking far ahead with no concrete blocking your view, and being able to take in the sheer sense of abundance can spark optimism.

- Greens: Whether in the form of naturally conserved trees, neatly manicured arches alongside the road, or carefully tended gardens and parks, the ability to be amid nature is something people are craving more than ever. It is proven that the smell, sight, and feel of greenery have therapeutic effects. Psychologists studying the effects of greenery on individuals noted that recovery from illness is quicker, and levels of anxiety are reduced when looking at pictures and surroundings that have greenery and water bodies. They recommend that facilities include views of nature for better mental health. - Amenities: Conventionally, residences would boast of swimming pools, gardens, open spaces, and sporting facilities as part of the amenities offered. Make no mistake, these are great bonuses, but there are several other amenities consumers are mindful of today. If the pandemic has underscored the need for amenities, it has been more in the form of security, improved facility management services, and the availability of utilities and conveniences within complexes. The basics of health, hygiene and nourishment have emerged as the need of the hour. The option of other lifestyle amenities is just a cherry on the cake.

- Community: We want to be surrounded by people who have similar outlooks and lifestyles. It helps build a stronger sense of community and helps improve a feeling of belongingness. Finding residential complexes that have a strong spirit help connect with other families that you are more likely to feel affiliated to
