Explore Mumbai's landmarks and culture at Lodha Vista

Home to decades-old mills now transformed into hubs of business and entertainment, Lower Parel is one of Mumbai's most sought-after neighbourhoods. Nestled in the charming by-lanes of this posh area is Lodha Vista, the location's crowning jewel. Lodha Vista is a sprawling residential complex that offers calmness in the heart of the city. With 2-bed and 3-bed homes on offer, Lodha Vista is the perfect place to build a home in Mumbai. From the Lodha pool to the gymnasium, not only is Lodha Vista fitted with world-class amenities, but it also allows you to wake up to vistas of the sea. Walk out of the property, and you can experience Mumbai's vibrant culture and rich historical heritage. Here are a few iconic landmarks within walking distance of Lodha Vista:

Worli Fort

If you want to time travel back into the annals of history and peer into the city's past, Worli Fort is just a 10-minute drive from Lodha Vista. Built by the British in 1675, Worli Fort is one of the oldest colonial structures in Mumbai. The fort was built on what is now known as Worli Hill, the heightened location serving as a strategic vantage point, fortifying the city's coastline for the British Empire. Today, Worli Fort is a popular tourist attraction, allowing visitors to witness British military architecture and step into an era gone by. Shrouded in historical and cultural significance, the fort is not only a heritage site but is a cocoon of calm in the bustling city and offers sweeping views of the ever-present Arabian Sea.

Haji Ali Dargah

Whether you are spiritually inclined or a connoisseur of architectural marvels, the Haji Ali Dargah, located a short 3-4 km from Lodha Vista, is a must-visit, and with good reason. The mosque also doubles as a tomb and floats on an islet off the coast of Worli. The dargah is an honorary homage built in 1431 to memorialise Sayyed Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari, an ardent devotee of Islam. Intertwined with the legend of his benevolence and the perfect blend of Indo-Islamic architecture, you can only visit the dargah during low tide, adding to its mystical charm. A place where people of all religions find solace and where the arts are showcased in all their glory, the dargah is a symbol of the city's inclusive and diverse spirit.

Mahalaxmi Temple

Mumbai embraces every religion, with one of the most revered Hindu temples located only a 2-km drive away from Lodha Vista. The renowned Mahalaxmi Temple was built in 1831 by a wealthy merchant named Dhakji Daji; however, there is more to the temple's origin story. Legend has it that the nearby embankment, erected to prevent flooding, kept collapsing. When the Goddess Laxmi appeared in a dream to one of the chief engineers, a temple dedicated to the goddess was built, leading to the successful construction of the embankment. Linking the spiritual to the practical, the temple has become one of the most holy places in the city and is credited with the construction of various embankments that shaped Mumbai.

CSMVS Museum

A city steeped in art and culture, it's no surprise that one of the first places one should hit up is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS) Museum, formerly called the Prince of Wales Museum. Founded in 1905 to mark the visit of the Prince of Wales, the museum houses more than 50,000 artefacts, including art, historical objects, textiles, archaeological finds, and more. The diverse collection—spanning centuries and swathes of geography—is an excellent way to explore art, culture, and history while taking in the structure's Mughal and Maratha elements. A key global museum, CSVMS is a mere 20 minutes from Lodha Vista.

Kamala Nehru Park

While Lodha Vista offers plenty of green spaces for you to relax in, you can also take a 20-minute drive and unwind at the beloved Kamala Nehru Park. The sprawling park was built in 1952 and is strategically located to offer stunning views of Marine Drive, the Arabian Sea, and Chowpatty Beach. While structures like the Old Woman's Shoe enchant children, it also offers adults a lush and green haven in the heart of the metropolis' bustle. Not only is the park a home to diverse flora and fauna local to the city, but it also serves as a symbol of the country's freedom fighters' struggle to create a better India for its citizens.

At Lodha, we ensure that the good life extends beyond our premises and choose locations that enable you to enjoy the city to the fullest. Choose Lodha Vista and carve your own space in the city of dreams.
