By LODHA
November 22, 2023In bustling cities, where skyscrapers adorn the skyline, there exists a shared yearning among urban residents for a revitalizing connection with nature. The idea of a home has transcended beyond the confines of four walls. People today are seeking more than just shelter; they long for an environment that nurtures their well-being. This is where the art of landscaping steps in, and it's not just about enhancing aesthetics; it's about creating a green environment that connects people with nature.
At Lodha, we understand the importance of seamlessly blending architecture with nature. Through partnerships with renowned landscape designers and architects, we have introduced innovative ways to create homes with expansive green spaces. From the inclusion of pocket gardens and sky gardens to the creation of tree-lined boulevards and tranquil water bodies, we leave no stone unturned ensuring that our residents can connect with nature right in the development.
Sprawling Green Spaces
Green spaces within a development are far more than just attractive additions; they are integral to the well-being of residents and the overall quality of life. These open areas provide a vital connection to nature. At Lodha, we have collaborated with several landscaping mavens such as the Bangkok-based P Landscapes and created an idyllic green sanctuary that helps you do just that. A prime example is Lodha Park, which features a 7-acre private park amidst a 17-acre grand development inspired by the greatest urban parks around the world. With 1,000 trees of different species and abundant nature, Lodha Park is a complete ecosystem unto itself.
Lush Private Forests
In the midst of the urban sprawl, finding yourself surrounded by a lush, private forest is a rare and remarkable experience. It's a sanctuary where you can indulge in what can only be described as "forest living" right in the heart of the city. Lodha Amara is a shining example of this concept. Living in a residential complex adjacent to a forest allows you to witness the rich ecology and diverse flora and fauna of the environment. Moving the needle in terms of landscape design, Lodha Amara showcases sprawling 30 acres of open spaces adorned with more than a thousand trees, reflecting our unwavering dedication to striking a harmonious balance between urban living and a life enriched by nature's goodness.
Breathing Architecture
When it comes to landscaping, breathing architecture is a great option. The significance lies in its potential to enhance energy efficiency, promote sustainable living, improve indoor air quality and create harmonious living environments. The landscape and design elements at Lodha NCP, designed by the renowned Singapore-based architectural firm WOHA, are thoughtfully orchestrated. They promote natural ventilation, provide shade from the sun's angles, and create green spaces, all contributing to a healthier and more sustainable urban living environment.
Sporting Grounds
Beyond the aesthetic appeal of landscaping, it's important to consider functional elements that enhance the residents' quality of life. Open sporting grounds, for instance, are an integral part of this vision, providing spaces for physical activities and community engagement. Embracing the significance of outdoor sporting facilities in enhancing the residents' quality of life, Lodha consistently goes the extra mile to ensure that these amenities are a standard feature in all our developments. From golf courses, cricket pitches and tennis courts to a range of other sports and outdoor activities, we aim to seamlessly integrate into everyday life.
When it comes to the art of landscaping through exceptional collaborations, our partnership with Greg Norman resulted in the creation of a sprawling 45-acre golf course within Lodha Belmondo.
